4 Tips To Get The Perfect First-Kiss Photos

We all want the most perfect Nicholas Sparks worthy first kiss photos from our wedding day. But truth is, there are a lot of things that can get in the way! As a wedding photographer in Iowa, I have seen it all and have compiled a list of tips that will help you get the first kiss photos of your dreams!

01. Kiss for MORE THAN ONE SECOND!

I’ll say it again for the people in the back!!!!! Kiss for SEVERAL seconds and even go back for a second kiss! The longer you’re kissing, the greater the chance for a perfect, in focus, photo!!

02. Ask your officiant to simply get-out-the-wayyyyyy.

It is BEST if your officiant actually steps out of the way BEFORE he announces that you may kiss! This will prevent them not only from being right behind you but also to not be right next to you as you kiss! They can easily tuck behind the wedding party for the best results!

03. Kiss again IN THE AISLE!

I have grown so dang fond of these photos! It allows for TWO chances to get a great kissing photo ANNNNND it’s so sweet to see you surrounded by all the people that gathered to celebrate you!

04. Put your flowers DOWWWNN!!

I can’t tell you how many times brides accidentally hold their flowers in front of their faces! If you have your flowers in hand, make sure they are down by your belly button!!

Now you are ready for your Allie and Noah kissing in the rain MOMENT!
